‘Welcoming the Neophytes’ 2011

Neophytes Mass, testimonies

Happy with Jesus’ family

I married a Roman Catholic and his love for Jesus in the Catholic Church led me to the RCIA programme. I looked forward to the sessions every week. They were very enlightening and encouraged me to listen and learn more.

As the days of my baptism approached, I felt a holy excitement. At the Easter vigil I was the first to be baptised and as the waters of Baptism covered me, I felt something running through my body like the Holy Spirit ministering to me. I felt so happy to know that I was reborn in Jesus Christ – a most beautiful moment in my life.

It was also very special to be confirmed and to receive Jesus in the Eucharist.

As the congregation of the Cedros Roman Catholic Church welcomed me that night I felt happy, at home and part of the family of Jesus.

Special thanks to Fr Patrick Alexander, the RCIA team, the Cedros parish, my sponsors who journeyed with me and my family who supported me.

Stay with me Lord Jesus, as I want to live for you, to love you and to serve you. – Melissa Sue Elizabeth Rambert
