‘Welcoming the Neophytes’ 2011

Neophytes Mass, testimonies

No turning back

My spiritual journey to Christ in the Catholic Church began with me accompanying my co-worker Isabella to church where we prayed the rosary regularly before the Blessed Sacrament. Gradually, I took a personal interest in the faith and started going to Church on weekends. This happened for many years before I felt something was missing in my life because I could not receive the Sacrament.

I joined a small Bible class at the RC Church in Longdenville before I found out about the RCIA programme. This programme has made my desire to receive the Lord in the sacrament stronger and my prayer life deeper. With Baptism and reception of the Eucharist at the Easter Vigil my dream has been realised and my joy is full. With this joy, I expect to face the trials of life as they come, fully confident that my Jesus is living in me as the way, the truth, and the life. From here, there is no turning back. God be praised! Alleluia!  – Hassina Solomon
