On Saturday, December 11, 2010, the Confirmation candidates of St Joseph Parish, St Joseph had a fun-filled morning. That day, being the last class for the year, two activities were planned – the making of hampers and a sharing.
Candidates chose the St Vincent De Paul Society of the parish to give these hampers to be distributed to the needy. Thus they brought a large number of items – cooking oil, rice, sugar, corned beef etc. At the end of this exercise, there were nine full boxes.
This was an excellent gesture and their generosity was well appreciated. They then shared items they each brought to eat and drink – cakes, pies, juice etc. This was a truly memorable morning well spent.
