Catholic culture alive and well at Caratal RC – Oct 2
Catholic culture is alive and well at Caratal Sacred Heart RC School.
As the new academic year 2011- 2012 began, the principal, staff and students opened the new term with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Wednesday, September 7.
All sang lustily and there was active participation, even from the newcomers’ to the school, the little ones in First Year Infant class.
A couple parents also joined in the celebration of the Eucharist at which Fr Steve Duncan, manager of the school officiated.
Following the Mass, Fr Steve Duncan visited the school to familiarise himself with other plans to promote Catholic culture.
Foremost in the lobby area of the school is a Religious Education showcase where literature on important events of the Church are displayed.
On the following day September 8 – feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin– each student presented Mary with a gift of a flower.
The celebration of the Eucharist at the beginning and at the end of each term at Caratal Sacred Heart RC remains the binding force and catalyst for Catholic expressions at the school. – Staff member
